Reaping from grounds you haven't sewn on.

I visited a restaurant (Ruby's Sweets) about a month ago. It was an African American lady that opened up in Circle Center Mall of downtown Indianapolis. I kind of stumbled up on this place looking for a restroom. I was hungry, so I decided to also eat there. I spoke with the owner and noticed that she did a gospel brunch on Saturdays. My light in my head went on and I wanted to do what I could to help grow her business.

I know people locally in the music industry and thought, "I can do booking of gospel artist to come in and perform at her brunches". I gave her my business card with my intents and went on my way.

A month later, I was at home with my "thinking cap" on wondering what's my next move. Want to really start my youth development program but need a location. Want to do a lot of events but, need a location.

...........Ring, a phone call from a number I don't recognize. It was her. After talking for hours, she wanted to do something for my non profit. She offered her location for the classes and a meal for each young lady (a 12 week course). She also offered to allow me to use the location for other events.

I was so overwhelmed because here I thought that I would help her grow her business and God had a blessing for me.

Lesson to the wise, when you get an unction to do something for someone, no matter how crazy it seems at the time. Do it. Don't listen to the voice of man which is very skeptical. Listen to your heart. A lot of times you doing something for someone else is God opening up the door for your blessing. For that person to give to you.

Sometimes it's God allowing you to reap from grounds you have not yet sewn on. Your blessings doesn't always come from people you have blessed. Many times they come from unsuspected sources. Keep sewing when God says to sew and don't worry when, where, how and why you will be blessed. Just know that Gods word is true and what He said will be. Just sew and allow God to send the harvest.

Gossiping about me? 

I know someone of which I will always say, they are always talking about someone. So much so that I would try to keep my distance from them. They would always know the latest juice/info and would talk forever with their friend about different people within their church.

Their friend would relentlessly keep them updated on close friends and families situations as well as church members as they receive it.

This particular person is now going through some trials within their lives and "the shoe is on the other foot"! They are now being gossiped about and you couldn't pay either one of them enough to tell the story.

Everywhere this person goes, they are constantly grieved with the question of "do they know?", "are they whispering about me?", "are they laughing at me?", "why are they staring at me"?

It doesn't feel good to have the towns gossipers gossiping about you. Why dish it out when you can't stand it either. There's an old saying that goes like this "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!" You can't pick and choose what's going to leak out like you CAN choose what you will leak. If you can't stand being gossiped about, get out of the business of gossiping. As the old saying goes which derived from the scripture speaking on reaping what you sew; "what goes around, comes around".

Don't put out what you are not willing to take back. I know in life, we must communicate. Sometimes in our everyday communication, we speak about things we shouldn't have. That's why the bible says delight thyself in the Lord...in all thy ways acknowledge Him. If we spent time acknowledging and delighting ourselves in God and getting to know Him more, we wouldn't have time for gossiping corners. And if you do, be prepared for your day in the gossip circle. I'm sure your backlash won't be so pleasant.

Spend time getting to know yourself and Jesus more. You'll be so busy working on you that you would not have time to strategize in changing other people's lives.
